Based on the infamous “Professional Overdrive” of the same name, with a few key improvements!

Unlike the original, we’ve achieved that signature high headroom using the same high-voltage internal power supply, which provides the pedal with a full 30VDC of headroom, as found in our Lighthouse and Sea Eagle pedals. This alleviates the risk of noise, interference or accidental damage that plague traditional charge pump-based designs. Furthermore, we opted for true bypass switching, rather than the original buffered bypass scheme.

Like the original version, this pedal employs a pair of NOS germanium clipping diodes, giving the pedal its distinctly vintage tone and feel. Great with humbuckers and single coils alike, the Centaur lets the character of your guitar shine through with smooth, clear overdrive, without overly colouring the tone. It’s a classic for a reason!
