TWO COMPANIES

A limited-edition collaboration between Bennett Custom Audio and Neon Effects, the Barometer is a two-in-one overdrive, fuzz, & distortion pedal featuring the Mercury (Hg) Fuzz from NeFX alongside the Weather Man V1 overdrive. Mighty on their own, the Hg fuzz stacks into the Weather man to give you a near-infinite range of distorted & fuzzy tones.

Every Barometer is assembled by hand, housed in a one-of-a-kind swirl-painted enclosure with LEDs to match, and tuned by ear for optimal tone and response. They're as unique as you - every Barometer is different!

Overdrive

The Weather Man is a beautiful, dynamic, low gain overdrive that serves up a massive variety of overdriven tones. It can perhaps be categorized as a B.B. style pedal. It responds to every nuance in your playing – reacting naturally to your unique dynamics, vibrato, pick attack, and signature style.

Besides a slew of tonal tweaks, it has one notable upgrade from other B.B. style pedals: The Voice control. It allows you to tweak the mids and treble of the pedal, and affects its overall gain. It allows you to dial in anything from a glassy mid-scoop with a prominent treble response (a well-known characteristic of the original), to a TS-like response with prominent mids and a treble roll off.

The Voice, Gain, and Treble controls are all very interactive with one another, allowing you to dial in a vast array of clean and overdriven tones with a few simple tweaks!

Fuzz

The Neon Effects Mercury (Hg) Fuzz is a pedal-sized version of the legendary Garnet Herzog: A tube-powered, amp-topping fuzz unit made famous by Canadian rockers like Randy Bachman (The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive) and Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar). Using JFETs instead of tubes,  the response of the original has been painstakingly re-created in a pedalboard-friendly package.

The Mercury Fuzz features controls for gain, volume, and a 3-way switch to toggle between bright (up), flat (middle) and warm (down) tonal responses. The Mercury Fuzz has a massive gain range - from near clean to bone-rattling, blown-speaker fuzz, and an extraordinary amount of of volume to play with.

Every Mercury Fuzz is individually biased for optimal tonal response, giving you access to the legendary tones of the original in the palm of your hand!
